Respect the space of others ...
A favela (Brazilian Portuguese for slum) are scattered around Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. These so called shanti towns are the centre of crime, violence and drug trade. Whilst these areas are filled with danger they are becoming increasingly popular to tourists. Tours run daily through the fevellas where you will visit the houses, business and streets and underlying business which takes place in these communities.
*** Quick tip: Do not enter these areas alone or at night, the colours aren't as friendly as you think.
